A few updates from the league as we get ready for the Winter Split to start on 9 January 2023 for both North America and Europe.

    Rulebook Updates

The Season 1 rulebook has been updated! It is your responsibility as a player to understand the league rules and the structure of how everything works. I have highlighted some key changes and updates so that you don't have to go searching!

To view the league rulebook, please go to: league-rules

Please see rule-changes to see the major updates.

    Contacting Admins

Please DO NOT directly message any PCS admins or staff unless its NON-league related. WE WILL NOT ANSWER ANY DM'S!

Also, DO NOT come into any of our personal streams or the PCS streams to beg for something to be done or ask about something.

There is a ModMail system in place for this exact reason; to ask questions about anything - league operations, trackers, etc. It's gotten so bad that we have to implement it into the rulebook. I cannot count the amount of messages we get from people either complaining, whining, or straight up cussing us out for something. That's unacceptable. We ALL have lives outside of PCS.

    To use the ModMail system:

    - Direct Message @PCS ModMail like you would any other person with your question and the staff team will get back to you as soon as we can.

    Scheduling Casters

There will be a change soon that will allow us to move away from using Google sheets to schedule casters via a website. Casters will be able to set their schedule and players/teams will be able to see availability to book a caster. More to come on this ...an alpha version is currently being tested.

    Replay Files

Reminder that we are moving away from using screenshots to report scores and going to replay files! You may still use screenshots, however, you will not have any league stats.

With the stats incoming, please don't forget to subscribe in the server! Only those with a Tier 2 subscription will be able to have access to see stats for each player in every Cup.

To subscribe for access to PCS stats, please go to #pcs-stats and select Tier 2.

There are rewards for each tier! ALL league money generated through this will go to league prize pools and funding!

Hope everyone has had a great holiday and looking forward to an awesome 2023!

    @Europe

First and foremost, I appreciate all of your patience and questions as we navigate this new home for you! I want to go over a few things to clarify the next couple of days before the Winter Split begins.

    Conference Play & Schedules

On this Friday, January 6th at 8pm CET, I will be hosting a watch party for ALL registered European teams to see what conference they will be placed in their respective Cup. This will be streamed on the PCS Twitch: https://twitch.tv/premierchampionshipseries

On Sunday, January 8th, the schedules will be released for the 7 weeks of conference play.

    Registrations & Transactions

Once your team has registered, per PCS rules you are not allowed to make any changes until transactions open up.

Transactions will open up 9 January, which will be limited to 5 transactions maximum up until the roster lock date of 27 February. To view how transactions work, please see rule-changes or view the league-rules in section 7.1.

    Booking Casts

We will no longer be using google sheets to book casters.

There will be an announcement either tomorrow or Friday on where casting requests and bookings will go, how to sign up, etc.

If you are an aspiring caster and would like to cast for PCS, please go to caster-application and fill out an application! You can play and cast - casters are not a part of staff

    How To Category

The "How-To" category is a place of continuity. To learn how to register a team, roster additions and deletions, team name changes, schedule matches, reporting scores...

Please get familiar with these as this is the format and how things will work during the Winter Split. I understand there are a few things that probably need to be updated in there, please be patient as we are working on updating everything.

If you have any questions, please DM @PCS ModMail (Bearbeitet)

Nochmal zur Erinnerung, weil der Aufbau der PCS nicht gerade selbstverständlich ist:

    3.1.2 - Conference Play

    1. Each “Cup” will consist of 32 teams, divided into (4) conferences of 8 teams. All 32 teams will be randomized into conferences each split (Winter, Spring, Summer) using an auto randomizer. Screenshots will be provided to show integrity from the Premier Championship Series.
    2. The splits will consist of a (7) week long conference play with each team from their respective conference playing against all others in a best of 5 series once.

    3.1.3 - Group Stage

    1. Following conference play, the group stage will occur - Only the top 4 teams from their respective conference will advance to the group stage. 16 teams will be placed into groups of 4 (Group A, B, C, D) based on seeding from conference play. The group stage play will consist of (1) best of 5 series to be played against the other 3 teams in their group. The top 2 teams from each group of 4 (Group A, B, C, D) will move on to a 8 team single elimination playoff for the seasonal split championship.
    2. If there are any teams tied after the group stage is completed, the rules for seeding tiebreakers will be the determining factor.

    3.1.4 - Seasonal Split Playoffs

    1. After the group stage has been completed, 8 teams will be placed into a single elimination tournament based on seeding from group stage play.
    2. Round 1 will consist of (1) best of 5 series. Winners will advance to the semifinals.
    3. The losers of the (2) semifinal matches will still compete in a 3rd place match for Premier Points. This will consist of (1) best of 7 series to be played before the Split Championship.
    4. Semifinals, 3rd place match, and Split Championship all will be (1) best of 7 series.
